Block reference / Workflow

Set proxy

Give profiles a proxy — the same for all, in turn from a list, or at random — or take theirs away.

Only inWarpX Browser

Set proxy assigns proxies saved in the app to profiles: the running one, a list, or a whole group. Give every profile the same proxy, spread them across a list in turn, pick one at random for each, or remove their proxy. The proxies themselves, and their passwords, stay in the app; the workflow only names them.

The Set proxy block's settings, filled in as in the example below.

Every block also has the shared block settings — a description, Disable block and what to do on an error. Fields that take text accept data from earlier blocks.

What it hands on

One output. The variable holds one entry per profile: profileId, profileName, proxyId, proxyName (both empty when removed) and open. The log says how many profiles got which proxies, and how many were open.

Example: Spread 20 new profiles across 4 proxies

  1. Start
  2. Create profile
  3. Set proxy
Where Set proxy sits in the example workflow.
  1. Save four proxies on the Proxies page: VN residential 01 to VN residential 04.
  2. Add a Set proxy block. Set Profiles to Every profile in a group and pick TikTok VN.
  3. Set Proxy to Each the next one in a list.
  4. In Proxies, add the four with Add one from this computer…, or type them separated by commas.
  5. Run it: profiles 1, 5, 9 … get VN residential 01, profiles 2, 6, 10 … get VN residential 02, and so on — five profiles per proxy.

Good to know

  • Before an installed workflow can change proxies, you are asked. The first time a workflow that was not edited on this computer runs a block that changes profiles — Create profile, Update profile on profiles other than the running one, Set proxy, Move to group, Open profile, Close profile, Run on profiles — WarpX Browser shows a window listing what each of those blocks will do and asks you to allow it before the run starts. Blocks you set up yourself in the editor are approved as you edit them, so your own workflows never ask. Changing such a block's settings asks again. This protects you from an automation you installed, from the Appstore or a file, quietly moving all your profiles onto someone else's proxy.
  • A profile that is open keeps the proxy it launched with until it is opened again. The log counts them: 3 open, used from the next launch.
  • Each the next one in a list starts from the first proxy every time the block runs. Inside a loop that changes one profile per pass, every profile gets the first proxy — give the block all the profiles at once instead.
  • * means every proxy only on its own; *, VN residential 01 is read as two names.
  • Profiles are changed one at a time, in the order listed. If one is refused, the block fails there: the profiles before it are already changed and the ones after it are not.
  • A profile, group or proxy is found by its id, or else by its name ignoring case. When two have the same name the block fails with "2 records are named … — use the id instead"; one that is not there fails with "No profile …".
  • Needs the WarpX Browser desktop app, where the profiles are. Elsewhere the block is not in the block list, and a workflow that has it fails with "Profile and group blocks need the WarpX desktop app".
  • On an Appstore listing, a workflow with this block shows Lists, creates, opens, closes and changes your profiles, their groups and proxies.
