Move to group

Put profiles in another group, making the group first if you like.

Only inWarpX Browser

Move to group sorts profiles: banned accounts into Banned, warmed-up ones into Ready. It moves the running profile, a list, or a whole group's profiles into the group you name. Only where the profile is listed changes — its browser, proxy and signed-in accounts stay as they are.

The Move to group block's settings, filled in as in the example below.

ExampleTikTok VN (20)
To group

The group to move them into, picked from the ones on this computer or typed with Id, name or variable….

ExampleBanned (4)
Create the group when there is none by that name

When on, a To group that is not there is made first. When off, it fails the block with "No group …".

ExampleChecked
Assign to variable

Off by default.

ExampleUnchecked
Variable namewhen Assign to variable is on

The variable that gets what was done.

Examplemoved

Every block also has the shared block settings — a description, Disable block and what to do on an error. Fields that take text accept data from earlier blocks.

What it hands on

One output. The variable holds group (id, name) and profiles, one entry per profile with profileId, profileName, groupId and groupName. The log shows 4 profiles → Banned.

Example: Move a banned account into "Banned"

  1. Start
  2. New tab
  3. Element exists
  4. Move to group
  5. Update profile
Where Move to group sits in the example workflow.
  1. Open the account's page with a New tab block on https://www.tiktok.com/@me.
  2. Add an Element exists block on [data-e2e="ban-notice"], the notice a banned account shows.
  3. Connect its top output to a Move to group block with Profiles This profile.
  4. In To group choose Id, name or variable…, type Banned, and tick Create the group when there is none by that name.
  5. Add an Update profile block after it that adds the tag banned and a note Banned {{$date('YYYY-MM-DD')}}.
  6. Run it on the group with Run automation: banned accounts end up in Banned, the rest stay where they were.

Good to know

  • A workflow that was not edited on this computer (installed from the Appstore or a file) asks you to allow this block before its first run, in a window that lists what it will do. Blocks you set up in the editor are approved as you edit them, so your own workflows never ask; changing the block's settings asks again.
  • Profiles are changed one at a time, in the order listed. If one is refused, the block fails there: the profiles before it are already changed and the ones after it are not.
  • A profile, group or proxy is found by its id, or else by its name ignoring case. When two have the same name the block fails with "2 records are named … — use the id instead"; one that is not there fails with "No profile …".
  • Needs the WarpX Browser desktop app, where the profiles are. Elsewhere the block is not in the block list, and a workflow that has it fails with "Profile and group blocks need the WarpX desktop app".
  • On an Appstore listing, a workflow with this block shows Lists, creates, opens, closes and changes your profiles, their groups and proxies.
