Block reference / Workflow

List groups

Every profile group on this computer, with how many profiles each holds.

Only inWarpX Browser

List groups puts every profile group in a variable: its id, its name, whether it is the default group, and how many profiles it holds. Use it to go through your groups one by one with Loop data, or to check a group is there before you create profiles in it.

The List groups block's settings, filled in as in the example below.

Every block also has the shared block settings — a description, Disable block and what to do on an error. Fields that take text accept data from earlier blocks.

What it hands on

One output. The variable holds a list, one entry per group: id, name, isDefault (true for the default group) and profiles (how many it holds). The log shows how many groups there are.

Example: Run a check on every group

  1. Start
  2. List groups
  3. Loop data
  4. Run on profiles
  5. Loop breakpoint
Where List groups sits in the example workflow.
  1. Add a List groups block and leave Variable name as groups.
  2. Add a Loop data block with Loop ID group, Loop through Variable and Variable name groups.
  3. Inside the loop, add a Run on profiles block with Workflow Check login, Profiles Every profile in a group and the group typed as {{loopData.group.id}}.
  4. Close the loop with a Loop breakpoint on group.
  5. Run it: each group's profiles are checked in turn.

Good to know

  • Temporary profiles are not counted in profiles.
  • It only reads, and never asks for confirmation.
  • Needs the WarpX Browser desktop app, where the profiles are. Elsewhere the block is not in the block list, and a workflow that has it fails with "Profile and group blocks need the WarpX desktop app".
  • On an Appstore listing, a workflow with this block shows Lists, creates, opens, closes and changes your profiles, their groups and proxies.
