Get profile
Read any profile on this computer by its id or name, with a fallback when it is not there.
Only in
WarpX Browser
Get profile reads one profile — any profile, where Profile info reads only the one running the workflow. Give it an id or a name, typed or from a variable, and it puts the profile's record in a variable. When there is no such profile, the run can leave by the fallback output instead of failing.
Settings
- Description
A note shown on the block in the canvas.
ExampleFind the main account- Profile
The profile's id or its name, ignoring case.
{{references}}work, such as{{loopData.accounts.profile}}from a sheet.ExampleTikTok VN 07- Assign to variable
On by default.
ExampleChecked- Variable namewhen Assign to variable is on
The variable that gets the record. The default is
profile— the same as Profile info's, so rename one if a workflow uses both.Exampleprofile
Every block also has the shared block settings — a description, Disable block and what to do on an error. Fields that take text accept data from earlier blocks.
What it hands on
Two outputs. The top one when the profile is found, with the record in the variable: id, name, engine, status, open, group, proxy (without password), tags, notes, os, country, ip, lastLaunchedAt and createdAt. The bottom (fallback) output when it is not — if nothing is connected there, the block fails instead.
Example: Check an account from a sheet before using it
- Start
- Google Sheets
- Loop data
- Get profile
- Conditions
- Loop breakpoint
- Read your accounts with Google Sheets and loop over them with Loop data, Loop ID
accounts. - Inside the loop, add a Get profile block with Profile
{{loopData.accounts.profile}}. - Connect its fallback output to a Notification block saying
No profile {{loopData.accounts.profile}}, and that to the Loop breakpoint, so the loop moves on. - Connect the top output to a Conditions block that checks
{{variables.profile.open}}Is falsy before you start anything on it.
Good to know
- A profile, group or proxy is found by its id, or else by its name ignoring case. When two have the same name the block fails with "2 records are named … — use the id instead"; one that is not there fails with "No profile …". With the fallback output connected, every such failure leaves by it.
- It only reads, and never asks for confirmation.
- Needs the WarpX Browser desktop app, where the profiles are. Elsewhere the block is not in the block list, and a workflow that has it fails with "Profile and group blocks need the WarpX desktop app".
- On an Appstore listing, a workflow with this block shows Lists, creates, opens, closes and changes your profiles, their groups and proxies.
