Block reference / UI Interaction

Press Back

Press the phone's Back key.

Only inWarpX Phone

Press Back goes back one screen, closes a dialog or hides the keyboard, as the Back button or gesture does. It is the key a flow presses most, so it has a block with nothing to choose. Every other key is in Press key.

Press Back leaves the product page for the list it was opened from.
The Press Back block's settings, filled in as in the example below.

Settings

Delay (ms)

A pause after the block finishes, before the next block starts. Write one number such as 1000, or a range such as 1000,3000 for a random pause in that range on each run.

Example800

Every block also has the shared block settings — a description, Disable block and what to do on an error. Fields that take text accept data from earlier blocks.

What it hands on

Hands on nothing. Leaves by its single output.

Example: Read each product's price and go back to the list

  1. Start
  2. Loop data
  3. Touch
  4. Read element
  5. Press Back
  6. Loop breakpoint
Where Press Back sits in the example workflow.
  1. Pick the phone in the editor's toolbar and open a category list in the shop app.
  2. Add a Touch block that opens a product, then a Read element block that reads its price into the table.
  3. Add a Press Back block and set Delay (ms) to 800, so the list is back before the next block runs.
  4. Put the three blocks inside a Loop data over the products, and press Run.

Good to know

  • With the WarpX agent installed, Back is pressed through it; without it, through Android's input keyevent. Both work.
  • When the keyboard is open, the first Back usually only closes it. Press Back twice to leave the screen.
