New window
Open a web address in a new window of the profile's browser, and carry on in it.
Only in
WarpX Browser
Use it when a page should sit in its own window rather than a tab, for example at a fixed size. The window opens in the browser of the profile the run is on. Given an address, every block after it works in the new window until another block moves the run elsewhere.
Settings
- URL (optional)
The address the window opens. An address without a scheme, such as
shop.example.com, getshttps://added. Leave it empty, or give an address that is nothttp://orhttps://, and the window opens on an empty page (about:blank).Examplehttps://shop.example.com/cart- Window state
Normal, Minimized, Maximized or Fullscreen. Pick Normal to set the position and size yourself. On some profiles' browsers the state is not applied and the window opens at its normal size.
ExampleNormal- Set as an incognito window
Opens the window in a separate private session that starts without the profile's cookies and sign-ins. On some profiles' browsers this is ignored and the window opens as a normal one.
ExampleUnchecked- Set as active
On: the new window stays in front. Off: the window opens, then the page before it is brought back in front, while the run carries on in the new window.

Every block also has the shared block settings — a description, Disable block and what to do on an error. Fields that take text accept data from earlier blocks.
What it hands on
Leaves by its single output. The new window's page, empty or not, becomes the tab the run works in. The block's own result is the window's id.
Example: Open the cart in its own 1280 × 800 window
- Start
- New window
- Click element
- Close tab/window
- Add a New window block after Start.
- Set URL (optional) to
https://shop.example.com/cart. - Set Window state to Normal, Width to
1280and Height to800. - Add a Click element block with the selector
button.checkoutto act in the new window. - End with Close tab/window to close the window when you are done.
Good to know
- With URL (optional) empty, the window opens on an empty page and the run moves into it, like it does into a window with an address. Load a page there with Open URL, Open new tab unticked.
- An incognito window has none of the profile's cookies or saved sign-ins, so a site sees a new visitor.
- To open a page in a tab of the current window instead, use Open URL with Open new tab ticked.
