Set clipboard

Put text on the phone's clipboard, ready for an app's Paste.

Only inWarpX Phone

Set clipboard puts text on the phone's clipboard without touching the screen. Use it for a field that refuses typed text, for a long caption an app would rather have pasted, or to hand a link to an app that reads the clipboard when it opens. Any language and emoji work.

Set clipboard puts the caption on the phone's clipboard, ready for the app's Paste.
The Set clipboard block's settings, filled in as in the example below.

Text

The unlabelled box: the text to put on the clipboard, up to 100,000 characters. It can hold references such as {{loopData.caption}}. Empty, the clipboard is cleared to empty text.

Example{{loopData.caption}}
Delay (ms)

A wait after the block finishes, before the next one starts. One number such as 1000, or a range such as 1000,3000 for a random wait in that range on each run.

Example0

Every block also has the shared block settings — a description, Disable block and what to do on an error. Fields that take text accept data from earlier blocks.

What it hands on

Writes nothing and hands nothing on.

Where Set clipboard sits in the example workflow.
  1. Pick the phone in the toolbar's phone menu, and fill a column caption under Table.
  2. Add a Loop data block over the table, with Loop ID caption.
  3. Add a Set clipboard block whose text is {{loopData.caption}}.
  4. Add a Touch block with Touch type Hold on the app's caption field, then a Touch block on the Paste that appears.
  5. Click Run and watch each caption appear in the field.

Good to know

  • It replaces what the clipboard held.
  • It needs the screen-mirroring server WarpX Phone ships with; a build without it fails with SCRCPY_UNAVAILABLE.
